After a string of five wins, Falls Lake's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 55-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wake Prep Academy Guardians. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Firebirds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-40 back in January.

Wake Prep Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Beanie Ballman, who posted 19 points and eight steals. Ballman is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Zanasha Bolden, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine steals.

Falls Lake's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7. As for Wake Prep Academy, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-3.
