S & S Consolidated is 1-9 against Callisburg since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The S & S Consolidated Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the Callisburg Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
S & S Consolidated suffered their biggest loss since December 1, 2023 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 74-41 defeat at the hands of Whitesboro. While losing is never fun, S & S Consolidated can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1276th, while Whitesboro is ranked 474th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Ricardo Marquez, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Caiden Jones, who scored six points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Callisburg's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 65-47 bruising from Boyd.
S & S Consolidated has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season. As for Callisburg, they bumped their record down to 2-17 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
S & S Consolidated ended up a good deal behind Callisburg in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, losing 53-39. Can S & S Consolidated avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
