The Belgrade Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Billings West Golden Bears at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Belgrade will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Belgrade is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Montana's top teams: Gallatin, who was ranked 14th at the time (Belgrade was ranked ninth). The Panthers walked away with a 10-7 win over the Raptors on Saturday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their one-run performance the game before.
Olivia Mills spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered seven earned runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Bailee White, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Lund, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Billings West made easy work of Russell on Saturday and carried off a 12-4 victory. The Golden Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by eight runs or more this season.
Billings West also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Tatum Bush gave up four earned runs on eight hits and racked up 15 Ks.
At the plate, Ryane Viker was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Mielle Kavran also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
The win made it two in a row for Billings West and bumps their season record up to 10-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Belgrade, they pushed their record up to 11-4-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
Belgrade beat Billings West 3-0 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
