After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Southwestern Heights, Cimarron was happy to have turned things around  on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Holcomb Longhorns with a sharp  12-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bluejays, who have now won three contests by eight  runs or more  so far this season.

 Quinn Campbell was a major factor no matter where she played. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with five  RBI and two  doubles. That's the most  doubles  she has posted since back in April of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Brenna Hayes was a standout: she scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Ashlynn Randa, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Cimarron  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .639. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Cimarron's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Holcomb,  they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Cimarron beat the Longhorns by a score of  14-4 later that day.
