The Anderson HomeSchool SONS can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 58-39 win over Wabash Valley HomeSchool. Anderson HomeSchool pushed the score to 50-30 by the end of the third, a deficit Wabash Valley HomeSchool cut but never quite recovered from.
Matthew Eaks was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Bennett Long, who scored 15 points.
When it comes to explaining why Wabash Valley HomeSchool lost, one person who can't be blamed is Zach Wallace. Despite the final result, he scored eight points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Sutton, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Wabash Valley HomeSchool struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Anderson HomeSchool racked up 15 assists.
Anderson HomeSchool now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Wabash Valley HomeSchool, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
Anderson HomeSchool won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Noble-Whitley Warriors at 11:30 a.m. on January 20th. Noble-Whitley Warriors is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 59 points per game. Wabash Valley HomeSchool's road trip will continue as they head out to face Butternut HomeSchoolers at 11:00 a.m. on January 19th.
