Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Derek Garcia stepped things up a notch to give Ventura the 'W'. Garcia rushed for 47 yards and one score, and also threw for 147 yards and one touchdown while completing 76.9% of his passes. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2024.

Garcia and Ventura will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as Ventura takes on Camarillo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
