It was a good run, but the Faith Christian Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 46-26 defeat at the hands of South Guilford HomeSchool. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Faith Christian has scored all season.
South Guilford HomeSchool's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kailey Bullins, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Kassidy Bullins, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds.
Faith Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-4. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season.
Faith Christian will look to defend their home court on Friday against Triad Baptist Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Faith Christian is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Triad Baptist Christian Academy in North Carolina (Faith Christian is ranked 119th, while Triad Baptist Christian Academy is ranked 239th). As for South Guilford HomeSchool, they will head out on the road to square off against Chatham HomeSchool at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Guilford HomeSchool's defense has only allowed 30 points per game this season, so Chatham HomeSchool's offense will have their work cut out for them.
