After low-scoring totals in their previous four contest, Thayer brought some dynamite into their most recent game. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Cabool Bulldogs a 20-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering the Bobcats have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Thayer has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Cabool, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-18.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thayer will welcome Alton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cabool, they will square off against Koshkonong at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
