Pettus has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Brackett Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 41-14, which was the final score in Pettus' tilt against Woodsboro on Friday. Pettus has not had much luck with Woodsboro recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Although Pettus took the loss, they still got scores from Nathan Orr and Gabriel Hernandez.
Meanwhile, Brackett waltzed into two weeks ago's match with five straight wins but they left with six. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Charlotte 49-14 at home. The result was nothing new for Brackett, who have now won seven contests by 25 points or more so far this season.
Brackett's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Troy Sandoval, who threw for 36 yards and three touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Demetrius Siler also helped out as he racked up 101 rushing yards.
Woodsboro's win bumped their season record to 4-6 while Pettus' defeat dropped theirs to 3-7.
