The Overton Mustangs won the last time they faced the Mt. Enterprise Wildcats, and things went their way on Friday too. Overton came out on top in a nail-biter against Mt. Enterprise and snuck past 40-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Overton.
Kayla Nobles was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Overton's points. Another player making a difference was Sarah Emery, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Overton now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Mt. Enterprise, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.
Overton will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Cushing at 6:00 p.m. Cushing is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games. As for Mt. Enterprise, they will head out on the road to face off against Douglass at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Douglass' defense has only allowed 25.4 points per game this season, so Mt. Enterprise's offense will have their work cut out for Mt. Enterprise.
