The Amsterdam Rams won the last time they faced the Johnstown Sir Bills, and things went their way on Friday too. Amsterdam strolled past Johnstown with points to spare, taking the game 63-45. The win made it back-to-back wins for Amsterdam.
Amsterdam found their leader in underclassman Aundray Fowler, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds. Jude Flint was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Amsterdam's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.7 points per game. As for Johnstown, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Amsterdam won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mekeel Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on December 9th. As for Johnstown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Broadalbin-Perth at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Broadalbin-Perth will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 327th, while Johnstown is ranked 109th).
