Bailey Came Up Big in Sam Houston's 46-21 Loss
Starting off the list is Sam Houston's Drew Bailey, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Bailey rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last six games he's played dating back to last season.
If history really does repeat itself, Bailey might just drop another big game when he faces off against Carencro on Friday. When Bailey last faced the Bears back in October of 2023, he rushed for 229 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry.

On Friday, Sulphur got the W thanks in part to Brodie DePriest playing the best football he has all season. DePriest rushed for 43 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 139 yards and a touchdown while completing 73.3% of his passes.
Sulphur moved to 3-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. DePriest and Sulphur will look to defend their home field on Friday against Southside at 7:00 p.m.
