It's playoff time, and St. John Paul II had no trouble coming through when it counted. They didn't even let the Lunenburg Blue Knights on the board on Monday, marking the Lions' second-straight 34-0 shutout. Considering the Lions have won 16 matchups by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was St. John Paul II's fifth in a row) raised their record to 23-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Lunenburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.

St. John Paul II will take on Salem on Wednesday. Lunenburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
