Softball Recap: Fort Recovery Extends Winning Streak to Four

Fort Recovery put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the National Trail Blazers 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won three matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Emma Will, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Ava Grisez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Fort Recovery always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as National Trail only posted an OBP of .263.

Fort Recovery's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 9.3 runs this season. As for National Trail, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Recovery will head out to challenge Russia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for National Trail, they will venture away from home to take on Valley View at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
