Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from  Caleb Short, who  posted 13  points and six  assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to  steals, as he's  now  grabbed two or more in the last four games he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Kamari Ceasar, who  went 7 of 12  on his way to 14 points.
 Short wasn't the only one working in the  assists department: Verbena was working as a unit and  finished the game with 15  assists. That's the most  assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Maplesville won against Ellwood Christian  on Tuesday with 52  points and they decided to stick to that  point total again  on Thursday. Maplesville really took it to Isabella for the full four quarters, racking up  a  52-17 victory. The  matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached  34-13.
 Verbena better keep an eye on  Devon Nix. He was instrumental in Maplesville's win,  putting up six points in addition to ten  steals and six  assists. The team also got some help courtesy of  Chris Simon, who  put up 12 points.
 The  win made it two in a row for Maplesville and  bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Verbena, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
 Verbena was dealt a bruising  59-19 loss at the hands of Maplesville in their previous matchup  back in January. Can Verbena avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
