Make it nine blowout wins for the Lakeland Christian Vikings this season. They blew past Frostproof 45-13 at home. The victory was just what Lakeland Christian needed coming off of a 57-24 defeat in their prior match.
Lakeland Christian's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Issa Simpson, who scored eight points along with seven steals and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Collette Zavada, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Lakeland Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Frostproof, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Lakeland Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Discovery at 5:00 p.m. on January 19th. Discovery is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Frostproof, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort Meade at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Fort Meade's defense has only allowed 29 points per game this season, so Frostproof's offense will have their work cut out for them.
