The Beatty Hornets lost against the Round Mountain Knights back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Beatty had to suffer through a rough 70-24 loss at the hands of Round Mountain. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Beatty in their matchups with Round Mountain: they've now lost three in a row.
It was another big night for Keiran Swafford, who went 8 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 46 points and 2 assists for Round Mountain. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Swafford has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Bullington, who shot 4-for-5 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten assists.
Beatty dropped their record down to 2-15 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Round Mountain, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-3.
Beatty does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Round Mountain, they will be playing at home against Spring Mountain at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nevada (Spring Mountain is ranked 61st, while Round Mountain is ranked 64th).
