Baseball Recap: Orestimba Takes a Loss

Orestimba was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 15-6 to the Sonora Wildcats.

Colby Cabral was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Orestimba is 2-1 when Cabral posts two or more runs, but 0-11 otherwise. Nathan Ceja was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Orestimba's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Sonora, their victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-9.

While Orestimba had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
