Roncalli has gone a perfect 3-0 against Avon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Royals will welcome the Orioles at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Roncalli 2.7, Avon 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Avon will be up against a hot Roncalli squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Royals were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over Heritage Christian on Thursday. Considering the Royals have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Rudy Schoettle and Drew Nelson did most of the damage at the plate: Schoettle went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Nelson went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs. That's the most hits Nelson has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Sam Roeder, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Avon faced Carmel in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Orioles took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greyhounds. The game marked the first time this season in which the Orioles were not able to get on the board.

Avon has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-5 record this season. As for Roncalli, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Roncalli has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Avon struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Everything went Roncalli's way against Avon in their previous matchup back in April of 2022, as Roncalli made off with a 13-6 win. Do the Royals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Orioles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
