Colonial Christian is 9-1 against Suburban Christian since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Colonial Christian Cougars will head out on the road to take on Suburban Christian at 5:45 p.m. Colonial Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Thursday, Colonial Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Heritage Hall Christian, taking the game 42-34. The team ran away with 32 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.
Clayton Gannon was nothing short of spectacular: he scored 17 points along with six assists and five steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Jared Ferguson was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Suburban Christian entered their tilt with Community Baptist Christian with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Suburban Christian came out on top against Community Baptist Christian by a score of 57-50 on Friday.
Colonial Christian's win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-12. As for Suburban Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.
Colonial Christian came up short against Suburban Christian when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 68-59. Can Colonial Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
