C.B. Aycock extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Ella Moyer. The Golden Falcons put the hurt on the Southern Wayne Saints with a sharp 3-0 win on Wednesday for which the team can thank Moyer, who had 14 digs and two aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 11 times she's played.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-12, 25-13.

C.B. Aycock's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ayu Stanton, who had seven assists and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: C.B. Aycock was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 13 consecutive matches.

Despite the defeat, Southern Wayne saw an underclassman step up: freshman Addison McPhail had six digs, two aces, and one block.

C.B. Aycock's win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Southern Wayne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-18.

C.B. Aycock will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Saints: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
