Westlake is 1-9 against Skyridge since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Thunder will head out on the road to square off against the Falcons at 3:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Westlake's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They blew past Weber 15-0. The Thunder might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by seven runs or more this season.

Alli Jeppson looked comfortable as she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted two strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March.
At the plate, Claire DuBois was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Ryan Pead, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.
Westlake was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Skyridge made easy work of Lone Peak on Monday and carried off a 17-3 win. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won seven in a row.
The team relied heavily on Hudson Ford, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Maylee Walston also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Westlake has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Skyridge, their record is now 8-10.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Westlake hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.1 home runs per game. However, it's not like Skyridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Westlake came up short against Skyridge in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, falling 4-1. Can the Thunder avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
