The Forestview Jaguars''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They fell to South Point 30-26. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Forestview in their matchups with South Point: they've now lost four in a row.
South Point got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chanyce Ford out in front who rushed for 208 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. Harrison McKinney was another key contributor, rushing for 109 yards and a touchdown.
Forestview's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.8 points per game. As for South Point, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Forestview will head out on the road to face off against Stuart W. Cramer at 7:30 p.m. on October 27th. Stuart W. Cramer comes in on a streak of failing to score more than ten points in their last six games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for South Point, they will look to defend their home field on October 27th against North Gaston at 7:30 p.m.
