Sullivan has gone a perfect 8-0 against Washington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Golden Arrows will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hatchets at 11:00 a.m. The last three games Sullivan has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Sullivan came out on top against Terre Haute South Vigo on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Golden Arrows narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Braves 7-6. The Golden Arrows haven't had any issues with the Braves recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Mylee Vandevender spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Jaylynn Hobbs was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Rachel Eslinger, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 8-4 to Southridge.
Washington saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Priesley Armes, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that Armes has hit this season. Kyra Schuckman was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Sullivan pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.6 runs over those games. As for Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
Washington's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Sullivan has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.4 hits per game. It's a different story for Washington, though, as they've been averaging 11.8 hits. Given Sullivan's sizable advantage in that area, the Hatchets will need to find a way to close that gap.
Sullivan took their win against Washington in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 18-1 score. Will the Golden Arrows repeat their success, or do the Hatchets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
