The Fairview Knights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against Lakewood by a score of 61-48. Winning may never get old, but Fairview sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Fairview's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chloe Hickory, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for her. Remy Tolar was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds.
Lakewood lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dyani Parrish, who scored 14 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Iben Last, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
Fairview's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Lakewood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Fairview will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Roosevelt at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Lakewood will be home for the holidays to greet Rock Canyon at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rock Canyon has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 310 points over their last five matches.
