The Northwest Rankin Cougars strolled past the Oak Grove Warriors with  points to spare, taking the game  51-37 thanks in part to  Mccelleis, who  went 9 of 19  on her way to 28  points and five  steals. Her evening made it four games in a row in which  she has scored at least ten points.
 The team also got some help courtesy of  Kennedi Smith, who  posted eight points along with seven  rebounds and three  steals. She has been hot recently, having  posted two or more  steals the last three times she's  played.
Northwest Rankin is  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record  this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to  assists: they averaged an imposing 7.67  assists in those games compared to only 7.67 in the others. As for Oak Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.
 A feisty cat fight will be fought when  the Northwest Rankin Cougars  duke it out with  the Meridian Wildcats at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Oak Grove, they will face off against Pearl at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
