Howard Tech is on a seven-game streak of home losses, Ooltewah an eight-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Howard Tech Hustlin' Tigers will take on the Ooltewah Owls at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Howard Tech comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Howard Tech fell victim to Chattanooga Central's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 42-0 loss at the hands of the Pounders.
Meanwhile, Ooltewah took a serious blow against Coffee County Central on Friday, falling 42-12. Ooltewah was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-6.
Although Ooltewah took the loss, they still got scores from Josh Davis and Brent Baddley.
The losses dropped both teams to an identical 1-8.
Howard Tech was taken down by Ooltewah 32-0 in their previous meeting back in September of 2022. Can Howard Tech avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
