With a playoff game on the line, the Terry Bulldogs rose to the challenge on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 41-39 victory over George County. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Terry.
Leading Terry to victory were Ashton Fair (k1) and Rj Hall. Fair (k1) threw for 60 yards and a touchdown, while Hall gained 76 total yards and two touchdowns.
When it comes to explaining why George County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Deuce Knight. Despite the final result, he threw for 291 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. Jacobe Street also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Terry is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for George County, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Terry will face off against West Jones at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Jones is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. George County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
