The Dora Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Weaver Bearcats at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a six-game winning streak alive.
On Friday, Dora got the win against Pennington by a conclusive 18-8. Considering the Bulldogs have won seven matches by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Dora got a massive performance out of Tucker Martin, who scored three runs while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave Martin a new career-high. Grayson Stephenson was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.
Martin wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Dora kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Weaver put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Tuesday. They never let Ragland get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory. The Bearcats are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the seventh contest they've won by 6+ runs this season.
Ethan Hamilton tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched.
At the plate, Weaver let Tracen Jones and Connor Hyatt run wild. Jones scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Hyatt scored three runs while going 3-for-4. Jones is becoming a predictor of Weaver's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-11 when he doesn't). Demarion Whelch also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.
Weaver's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.6 runs over those games. As for Dora, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Saturday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Dora has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .480. However, it's not like Weaver struggles in that department as they've averaged .491. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
