After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hamilton Southeastern, Fishers was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Mt. Vernon Marauders as they made off with a 16-4 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.
Adrianne Cook was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kendall Jordan, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Fishers always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mt. Vernon only posted an OBP of .387.
Fishers has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
