Even though the Columbia Lions scored an imposing 67 points on Monday, the Curlew Cougars still came out on top. Curlew took their contest against Columbia 76-67. With that victory, Curlew brought their scoring average up to 55.7 points per game.
Leading Curlew to victory were Logan Thompson and Evan Olson. Thompson scored 25 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals, while Olson scored 32 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Thompson has scored at least 25% of Curlew's points.
The win makes it two in a row for Curlew and bumps their season record up to 2-1. As for Columbia, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Curlew will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Northport at 7:30 p.m. on December 6th. As for Columbia, they will take on Inchelium at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
