The Central City Bison came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Ravenna by a score of 52-40. Given Central City's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Ravenna is ranked 177th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Ayden Zikmund, who scored 24 points. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Colter Lueders was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven rebounds.
Central City's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. As for Ravenna, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Central City will be playing in front of their home fans against Schuyler at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ravenna, they will head out on the road to square off against Sutton on Tuesday.
