The Suwannee Bulldogs were the 67-50 winner over the Taylor County Bulldogs when they last played one another on January 6th, but their luck changed this time around. Suwannee fell 63-50 to Taylor County on Friday. Suwannee has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Taylor County was led to victory by Trayce Abercrombie and Allen Collier. Abercrombie scored 18 points along with four steals, while Collier dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Louis Gaddy Jr., who scored three points along with 11 rebounds and two blocks.
Suwannee's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Taylor County, they pushed their record up to 10-7 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
Suwannee will take on Columbia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Columbia presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Suwannee in Florida (Columbia is ranked 219th, while Suwannee is ranked 448th). As for Taylor County, they will head out on the road to take on Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant forwards against one another: Jaevien Ervin and Gaddy Jr.
