Joey Motes Goes Supernova in Rocky Hill Win
Thanks in part to Joey Motes, Rocky Hill said goodbye to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season. Nobody could stop Motes on Thursday as he rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 158 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 passes. His longest rush was for an impressive 67 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Rocky Hill's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. Motes and Rocky Hill will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Tolland at 6:30 p.m. on October 18th.

East Catholic picked up their sixth consecutive win on Thursday thanks in part to Joey Montalvo. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2023.
East Catholic pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Montalvo and East Catholic will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bloomfield at 6:30 p.m. on October 18th.

Vincent Burbank's Big Game Leads Northwest Catholic over Plainville
The second Northwest Catholic player making an appearance here is Vincent Burbank, and for good reason. He threw for 221 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes.
