There's no place like home for Althoff Catholic, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Metro-East Lutheran Knights on Thursday. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Althoff Catholic took both sets by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-12.

Reece Distler paced Althoff Catholic's offense, picking up 14 kills. Distler got some help from Caroline Jansen and her 19 assists. Ella Riley controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Althoff Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 18-10. As for Metro-East Lutheran, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-21.

Coming up, Althoff Catholic will look to defend their home court on Monday against Mater Dei at 6:30 p.m. As for Metro-East Lutheran, they will head out to square off against Southwestern at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
