Softball Recap: Venice Makes It Eight in a Row at Home

Venice barely beat Palisades the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Gondoliers blew past the Dolphins 15-1 on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Gondoliers, who have now won ten games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Venice pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.5 runs over those games. As for Palisades, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Venice is set to face off against their familiar foe Westchester at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Palisades will challenge rival Hamilton at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
