5A Region IV District 28 recap October 1, 2013
LG Williams and Matt Moen provided fans with a highlight when they connected against San Marcos. The connection went for 86 yards, the longest such play in 5A Region IV District 28 this season.
South San Antonio moved up to 784 from 943 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Bobcats were able to move up by besting Central Catholic 31-24.
Steele's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Williams threw for 235 and 3 touchdowns and Moen had 140 yards receiving. On the ground Justin Stockton chipped in 78 yards. D'Angelo Wallace helped Steele's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 70 yards.
Williams put up the best numbers through the air as the Knights beat the Rattlers. Williams' favorite target this week was Moen, who caught 3 passes for 140 yards.
Steele's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Knights feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Williams has thrown for 464 yards and 5 touchdowns this season, while Wallace has 12 catches for 193 yards.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Steele beat San Marcos 51-7. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
