Basketball Recap: Bloom Skates Past Crete-Monee with Ease

Bloom had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They blew past the Crete-Monee Warriors 69-38. The Blazing Trojan have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ayomide Olanrewaju, who posted six points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Johnsom, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.

Bloom has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Crete-Monee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.

Bloom didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-41 win against Rich Township on the 27th. As for Crete-Monee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 51-18 defeat against Kankakee on the 27th.
