The Ridgecroft Rams put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Albemarle School by a score of 50-38. Given Ridgecroft's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while Albemarle School is ranked 369th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ridgecroft to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kate Chamblee, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chamblee has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Makenzie Slaughter, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 assists.
Albemarle School lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Addison Delosreyes, who scored 11 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Madelyn Delosreyes, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Albemarle School struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Ridgecroft racked up 16 assists.
Ridgecroft's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-0. As for Albemarle School, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.
Ridgecroft does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Albemarle School also has no future games currently scheduled.
