St. Edward has gone a perfect 3-0 against Harvest Christian Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Green Wave will take on the Lions at 4:30 p.m. St. Edward has given up an average of 9.1 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

St. Edward came up short against Timothy Christian on Wednesday, falling 11-5.

Sarah Gurley and Layne Dawson stepped up to the plate in a big way. Gurley went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Dawson went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Mackenzie Fitzpatrick also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Harvest Christian Academy). They blew past Christian Liberty 32-22 on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Kenzie Weidman, who fired off three stolen bases, eight RBI, and five runs while going 5-for-5. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Ella Schoenberg was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.

Harvest Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Harvest Christian Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-9. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 22.3 runs over those games. As for St. Edward, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

St. Edward was able to grind out a solid victory over Harvest Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 9-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Green Wave since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
