After flying high against Greenville H on Thursday, Pickens came back down to earth. The Blue Flame lost 7-1 to the Travelers Rest Devildogs on Friday. The Blue Flame's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Pickens saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashton Woody, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Pickens' loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Travelers Rest, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Pickens is set to face off against their familiar foe Berea at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Travelers Rest will challenge rival Greer at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
