Manalapan extended the longest winning streak in Shore - North A this week by beating Toms River North, 42-7. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Braves.
Manalapan took down the Mariners 42-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Mike Isabella threw for 169 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
Tyler Leonetti was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 129 yards on 18 carries as Ed Gurrieri's team lost to Middletown North. Teammate Mike Loretta added to the ground attack by rushing for 45 yards.
Decanio was the best wideout in the league this week as the Rebels lost to the Lions. Decanio tallied six receptions for 102 yards. Tory Robinson helped Howell's passing attack out by catching three balls for 38 yards.
On the ground, Colts Neck's Anthony Gargiulo has rushed for 803 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Tim Vangelas. The Colts Neck star has 32 catches for 633 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Cougars take on Middletown South. At the moment, Colts Neck is in second, while the Eagles are in third.
The Braves made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 797 from 1,041. The improvement came about via a 42-7 victory over Toms River North last week.
