The Borger Bulldogs's three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They slipped by Chapin 59-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Chapin's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jasmine Blake, who scored 23 points, and Samantha Wise who scored 22 points. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for her.
Borger now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Chapin, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.
Borger will head out on the road to face off against Pampa at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Chapin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Alamogordo at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Alamogordo presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Chapin in their respective states (Alamogordo is ranked 47th in New Mexico, while Chapin is ranked 849th in Texas).
