The Monument Valley Cougars waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with nine straight wins but they left with ten. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pinnacle 56-28 at home. Monument Valley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 23 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Monument Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Malaya Blackmountain, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Blackmountain has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Shikeeya Hudson, who scored 11 points.
Monument Valley's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Pinnacle, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Monument Valley will head out on the road to take on Monticello at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pinnacle, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Freedom Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
