Pasquotank County took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Camden County, who comes in off a win.
On Wednesday, it was close, but Camden County sidestepped Cape Hatteras for a 34-31 win. That 34-31 margin sets a new team best for Camden County this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Camden County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aaliyah Anderson, who scored five points along with 15 rebounds. Anderson is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Amaya Demps, who scored four points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Pasquotank County, who are still winless after their sixth matchup. They were outmatched by Currituck County on the road and fell 52-20. Pasquotank County has not had much luck with Currituck County recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Camden County's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-3. As for Pasquotank County, their defeat was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6.
Camden County was able to grind out a solid victory over Pasquotank County in their previous matchup back in January, winning 35-24. Does Camden County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pasquotank County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
