Winning is just a little bit easier when your three-point shooting is a whole 36% better than the opposition, a fact the Bear Lake Bears proved on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 47-30 win over Aberdeen. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bear Lake.
Bryson Crane was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. Taylor Roberts was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Aberdeen's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Griffin Knittel, who scored eight points along with six steals and five assists. Another player making a difference was Canon Foster, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Bear Lake has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. As for Aberdeen, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.
Bear Lake will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Marsh Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully the Bears like a good challenge. As for Aberdeen, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
