The Bridges Prep Buccaneers lost against the Beaufort Academy Eagles back in November of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Bridges Prep took a hard 53-36 fall against Beaufort Academy. Bridges Prep has not had much luck with Beaufort Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Buccaneers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zariyah Henry, who scored 4 points along with 18 rebounds and 3 steals. Henry hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Raelynn Reeves, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Bridges Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Beaufort Academy, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bridges Prep will square off against Memorial Day at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Beaufort Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Cross Schools at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
