The San Miguel Vipers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Desert Christian at home and fell 81-35. San Miguel was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-20.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Desert Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyson Dobbins, who scored 29 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Dobbins is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Brown, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds.
San Miguel's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Desert Christian, they pushed their record up to 21-5 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Miguel will take on Sabino at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Desert Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Valley Union at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Valley Union will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 305th, while Desert Christian is ranked 113th).
