Despite the loss, University Prep still got an impressive performance from Darren Maples, who rushed for 16 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 71 receiving yards.
Lassen found their leader in underclassman Dathen Moore, who rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns. Moore was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 51 yards.
University Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Lassen, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.
University Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lassen is on the road again on November 25th and play against Orland at 7:00 p.m. on November 25th. One thing working in Orland's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season.
