The Wooster Colts's six-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They had just enough and edged McQueen out 37-34. The win was just what Wooster needed coming off of a 65-17 loss in their prior matchup.
Despite the loss, McQueen still got an impressive performance from Caitlin Hilson, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for her. Camilla Carlson was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds.
Wooster's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for McQueen, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wooster will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hug at 6:00 p.m. on January 10, 2024. Hug is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. McQueen and South Tahoe will face off at 2:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (South Tahoe is ranked 40th in California, while McQueen is ranked 58th in Nevada).
